The Pause Between Breaths

Sometimes love isn’t loud. It doesn’t arrive with fireworks or declarations. It’s the warmth of thyme in the pan, the way they place the mug closer to you than to themselves. It’s presence without pressure. Breath without dependence. This poem is a meditation on the kind of love that gives space, yet never leaves. A quiet love—brave, nourishing, and deeply alive.
